Dr Nicholas Lai,

Nicholas carried out his undergraduate training at Guy's Hospital, qualifying in 2000. He then spent the next three years working as a general dentist followed by further training in the fields of oral and maxillofacial surgery and orthodontics in Queen Alexander Hospital, Portsmouth, restorative dentistry at the Royal London Hospital and paediatric dentistry within the community dental services based in Havant, Portsmouth. During this time he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Eng). He commenced his three year Specialist Orthodontic training at the Royal London Hospital in 2003, acquiring his Master of Science degree (MSc) in 2005 and the Membership in Orthodontics (Morth) in 2006 from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Nicholas has since been working in a variety of specialist practices where he has gained his wide interest in adult orthodontics, combined and multidisciplinary cases. He also works part time as a Associate Specialist at the Royal London Hospital where he specialises in joint orthodontic/orthognathic cases as well as hypodontia patients.

Nicholas is registered with the General Dental Council as an orthodontic specialist and is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (Eng) as well as the British Dental Association, British Orthodontic Society, European Orthodontic Society as well as the North West London Orthodontic Group.
